Resurfacing 3 different pathways
- Pathway along the block 15-24
- Pathway at the back of block 25-34
- Pathway along the block 5-14
Estimated total area: 150m2
- Made sure all of safety testing such as cable detecting scanning was performed before any excavation work is started
- Removed the old surface to prepared for the new layer
- All weeds and unwanted organic matter was removed and ground was treated with general weed killer.
- Removed & responsibly disposed of any refuse from the old paths
- Prepared all the paths for resurfacing;
- Applied tackle coat
- Made good the path surface over the drains etc. ensuring a smooth & continuous pathway.
- Re-surfaced paths with new tarmac as per map drawing
- Concrete edging was used on all free edges
- Dry build wall
- Fencing
- Gates
- Any unsound sub-base, binder course and soft spots should was excavated and filled with compacted materials.
- Base was prepared to provide good bind with the new surface
- Top layer surface was regular and provided smooth ride for wheel chairs, pushchairs etc.
- The wearing course (surface layer) was at least 20-25mm when rolled.
- There were no roller marks in the finished surface.
- Grassed areas was prepared to provide good quality results and to make sure ground was suitable for grass seeding if damaged during requested work
- Made good all areas.
Mansel Court blocks 1-9, 9-16, SO16 9ED
- Resurfacing two pathways along the blocks 1-9 and 9-16
